The So Un-Empty Nest

The Empty Nest

This is not the first time you’ve seen Janet from The Empty Nest on this blog. Her lovely hand-painted napkins graced my Follower Footprints post earlier this week. Maybe her nest is now empty and the fledglings have grown and flown, but The Empty Nest in anything but. It offers a wonderful assortment of artwork and prints, crocheted and knit goods, totes and beaded bags, wearable art and aprons and more.

Isn't this adorable! And winter is coming!

If Nicole Kidman (Janet’s favorite) was photographed carry Sunday Rose’s stuff in this adorable East Hampton Tote, she would have something unique and special. Isn’t that one of the nice things about buying handmade from Etsy? I don’t think Katie would be photographed with an identical bag either. Pluses all around!

The one thing I was wondering was do her paint strokes continue on beyond her Etsy listings? Oh, yeah. Check out her kitchen desk area! I would ask her to make a house call, but she’s in Virginia and I’m all the way in California (which she visited BEFORE I knew how talented she is). Sucks for me :(
Janet is hard at work on tantalizing goodies that she’ll have in her Etsy shop this holiday season for you to buy. This year’s offerings will include wonderful hand-painted ornaments, upcycled children’s felted cardigans, cashmere fingerless gloves and, of course, festive aprons. Keep your eye on The Empty Nest for these new additions!

“With the holiday shopping season right around the corner, it is very important now more than ever to support your independent home based artist. Etsy can be so very affordable. The quality in most of the Etsy shops is incredible and the customer service cannot be beat.” Janet, The Empty Nest.

I wanted to feature Etsy talent and got no nibbles and then Janet stepped forward and agreed to be my First Featured Artist! Janet, I just want to say thank you so very much for the opportunity to show off a little of your beautiful work!
